A fresh approach to adolescent extended care.

At Lions Campus, we embrace a holistic approach tailored to meet the unique needs of young people, with a strong emphasis on achieving complete recovery and fostering positive personal growth. Our primary focus is on empowering young adults to rebuild their self-confidence, enhance self-esteem, develop effective coping strategies for challenging situations, and cultivate a hopeful outlook for their future.

We collaborate with some of the UKs leading experts in adolescent mental health and have a reputation for providing compassionate and sensitive care to young people. Our programmes and facilities are designed to create a secure haven where your teenager can access the support they require and work towards successfully achieving their recovery goals.

We provide a secure, recovery-focused, and nurturing environment that helps young people transition back into their regular lives while applying their newly acquired skills and concurrently re-establishing their academic aspirations and achievements.

Our approach to sustainable recovery involves equipping young people with a wide range of resources and continuous support, all within a single setting.

We place special focus on helping young people regain their self-confidence and self-esteem, learn methods to cope with difficult situations and look towards an optimistic future.

We specialise in creating a nurturing environment for young people recovering from addictions, eating disorders and mental health disorders.

Adolescent Addictions

For adolescents leaving primary care for addiction, one of the biggest challenges they face is avoiding relapse. In order to prevent this from happening, our programme and staff equip young people with large amounts of recovery capital, life-skills, self-care awareness and coping strategies when faced with triggers and high-risk situations, thereby increasing their chances of sustained long-term recovery.

Adolescent Eating Disorders

After primary care, the first year after treatment is critical, where there is a particular risk of relapsing back into their eating disorders occurring as early as 3 months post-treatment. It is therefore beneficial for young people to have 24/7 access to a recovery support network when transitioning back into 'normal' life. We want to help young people regain their confidence, and we do this in creative ways that are enjoyable.

Mental Health Disorders

Whether the mental health disorder is a secondary outcome of the addiction or eating disorder, or a stand-alone problem in itself, our programme and team promote wellbeing on all levels. Whilst we prioritise recovery, education and relapse prevention, Lions Campus is dedicated to being a fun and nurturing environment for our residents.

“The concept of ‘recovery’ involves more than just control over the problem. It requires better mental and physical health, but just as importantly it involves the development of a meaningful life. Recovery is a process that often takes time to achieve and effort to maintain.”
